Baptism
Baptism is a sacred act that symbolizes a believer's decision to follow Jesus, leaving behind an old life and beginning anew in Christ. It represents cleansing, renewal, and a public declaration of faith before God, the church, and the world. As the believer enters the water, they express their desire to walk in obedience and to unite with Christ in His death and resurrection. Ellen White beautifully describes this moment saying, "Baptism is a most solemn renunciation of the world... and an entrance upon a new life in Christ Jesus." (Testimonies for the Churh, vol. 6, p.91; Manuscript Releases, vol. 6, p. 165).
Annual Thanksgiving
Celebrating a church anniversary is a joyful reminder of God's faithfulness throughout the years and a testament to the dedication, prayers, and service of the congregation. It is a time to reflect on how God has guided, strengthened and sustained Hid people through trials and triumphs, and to recommit to the mission of spreading His love and truth. This celebration also inspires gratitude for the past and renewed vision for the future, trusting that the same God who has led will continue to lead. As Ellen White wrote, "We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us" (Life Sketches, p. 196.).
Communion Service
Held after every quarter of the year, communion service is a sacred time of remembrance and thanksgiving, where the church gathers to honor the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Through the sharing of bread and cup, members reflect on Christ’s love, grace, and redemption, renewing their faith and commitment to live in unity with Him and one another. It is a solemn yet joyful celebration of God’s saving work and a reminder of the hope believers have in His eternal promise.
Dedication
Child dedication is a sacred moment when parents present their children to God, committing to raise them in love, faith, and obedience to his word. It is both a prayer for God's guidance over the child's life and a promise from the family and church to nurture their spiritual growth. "Children are the heritage of the Lord, and we are answerable to Him for the management of His property"(The Adventist Home p. 280).
Oath-Taking Ceremony
Held within the church, the oath-taking ceremony formally marked the induction of officers into their respective positions. The event served as a reminder of their responsibilities and their commitment to serve with integrity, dedication, and a strong sense of accountability.
